Welcome to the official website for the Providence Orphanage (Orphelinat La Providence). Thank you for taking the time to visit this site. Here you will find information about the orphanage, pictures and videos, information about Benin, as well as upcoming events and ways you can help.
The orphanage is located in Lokossa, Benin, West Africa. At the moment it is home to 56 children who are all either orphaned or abandoned. The orphanage is run by Louis Viho Koissi Adjiwanou, with the help of six local volunteers. None of the volunteers are paid nor have they been since the orphanage began in 1993.
My family and I recently returned from a visit to the orphanage. Below is a short presentation I have put together since our return, which should give you an idea of the challenges the orphanage faces and why it needs our support.
